Long Weekend Casual

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend!  I was fortunate enough to have all three days off & so far I have spent most of my time working around the house or on the blog.  I am definitely a home-body, and nothing makes me happier than spending days outside with the dogs and working on my gardens.  I know this isn’t everyone’s idea of a great long weekend, but for me, it’s an absolutely perfect!

If you didn’t catch yesterday’s post - there’s a big blog change in the works.  I have decided to move over to a WordPress platform, and will be re-naming the blog A Closet Full of Clothes.  Until everything is fully migrated, I will be posting at both locations, but eventually (probably by the end of September) I will start using this Tumblr account to share single photos, as opposed to full posts (kind of like a more conventional Tumblr).

Since an outfit post is long-overdue, I took a few quick photos last night in our backyard.  Georgie decided to join in on the fun too :)

We are having an unseasonably cool August.  As a result, I have been bundling up more than normal.  While I am not impressed at what appears to be an early fall, I know the dogs are loving the cooler temperatures…  I suppose that can be the silver lining…

Unfortunately, since is has also rained on-and-off every day this week, I was unable to watch the Perseid meteor showers (clouds blocking the view).  This is normally one of my favorite summer rituals -  I can spend hours watching the night sky.  It really grounds me - makes me realize how we are part of something so much larger.
